Do you feel consumed by worry, fear, self-doubt or comparison?

Or maybe you find that you’re coverconsuing (food, media, the opinions of others) and that overconsumption is robbing you of joy, peace and compassion.

If you’re living your life comparing yourself to others or trying to force yourself to behave and think the way dominant culture suggests you “should”, you might be setting yourself up for disappointment, because regardless of what the coaching world suggests, usually a one size fits all approach doesn’t work for us all.

In today’s episode, I’m sharing how you can begin to unconsume yourself by looking at those things that consistently consume you and then consciously make choices about how to let those things go.

We’ll take a look  at how Human Design can help you better understand how you uniquely manifest in this world, we’ll go over the my Embodied self love framework (self-awareness, self-knowledge, self-acceptance, self-trust, self-respect/boundaries), and I’ll show you what it looks like to take a life inventory to see where you might be the most consumed by things that do not serve you.

If you enjoy today’s episode and want to dive deeper into this conversation and into the work of unconsuming yourself, check out my Self-Love Immersion at untameyourself.com/selflove. The immersion is designed to help you do the deep work so that you can come out of it with real deal self love as your super power.

About the EMBODIED Podcast with Elizabeth DiAlto

Since 2013 I’ve been developing a body of work that helps women embody self love, healing and wholeness. We do this by focusing on the four levels of consciousness - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

In practical terms this looks like exploring tools and practices to help you  tune into the deep wisdom of the body and the knowing of the heart, which I believe are gateways to our souls. Then we cultivate a new relationship with our minds that allows the mind to serve this wisdom and knowing and soul connection, rather than override it, which is what many of us were taught.

If you’ve been doing self help or spiritual development work for a while, these are the types of foundational things that often people overlook in pursuit of fancier concepts that often aren’t practical or sustainable. Here, we will focus on building these strong foundations so you can honestly and thoroughly embody self love. If you’re feeling it, subscribe to the show, and leave us a review wherever you listen from. You can also keep up with show updates and community discussion on Instagram here.

Have you bought into the lie that thinner is better?

I just had my first photoshoot since 2020. It was my first photoshoot since the pandemic and my first photoshoot at my heaviest weight. I was curious how I would feel during the photoshoot and I was also a little worried about how I might feel once I got the photos back (would I like the photos or would I feel uncomfortable with the parts of me that didn’t look “good” in certain lighting or at “unflattering” angles?).

To my happy surprise, I felt confident and sexy during the shoot and when I looked at the photos afterward, I LOVED them. I felt like a proud mama recognizing all the hard work I had accomplished in self-love and embodiment work; seeing my true self shine through in the photos and loving her.

In today’s episode, I’m sharing more about this photoshoot and all of the work I’ve done to truly love myself, my whole self, in the hopes that you will join me and feel empowered in your body at every shape and size.

If you have ever struggled with the lie that you had to be a certain dress size in order to be “sexy,” if you’ve been hurt by people’s unsolicited comments on your body, if you have been hurt by diet culture or fatphobia or maybe you just don’t know how to love your body regardless of your size, sign up for my FREE training on how to Unconsume Yourself, so that you can recover your energy, time, power and peace.

Listen to episode 389 now!

In episode 389 of the Embodied Podcast we discuss:

  • [3:26] The weight I’ve gained since 2020
  • [5:18] Feeling like a proud mama when I received the photos back from my most recent photoshoot
  • [6:12] Letting go of old programming, and why I love growing older
  • [7:30] The 5 components of self-love work and how I create the frameworks for my courses
  • [8:13] How I’ve grown to love myself more, regardless of the weight that I’ve gained
  • [11:03] Being in a relationship with a narcissistic man and how that taught me to love my body more
  • [11:49] Why I transitioned out of the fitness world and into the work of embodiment
  • [16:17] Setting boundaries around what I would allow people to say (good and bad) about my body
  • [20:07] What real beauty feels like and the factors that play into attraction
  • [21:14} Get the details on my FREE Unconsume Yourself training

Have you ever had an experience you couldn’t quite explain? Maybe you were lying down in bed and you could feel the presence of someone else even though you were technically alone. Or maybe a loved one passed but every now and then, seemingly out of nowhere, you can smell their particular brand of cigar in your car.

It might sound crazy but these are all examples of experiences I’ve had and there are thousands of similar experiences reported by others; experiences that suggest that life continues even when our physical bodies do not.

What if, when someone dies, they don’t really leave us? We might not be able to physically engage with them, but we can certainly still communicate with them and in Episode 388 of the Embodied Podcast, Lindsay Marino, Psychic Medium and Mentor, shares how our passed loved ones often try to communicate with us.

If you ever had an imaginary friend, felt a deep empathy for someone or knew something about them that you had no way of knowing, thought a passed loved one was trying to communicate with you or are questioning if your experiences are “normal,” you might have the gift of Mediumship. The great news is that you aren’t crazy and you aren’t alone.

In Episode 388 of the Embodied Podcast we discuss:

  • [2:39] why Lindsay knows God is real and what “God” means to her
  • [6:10] the two ways Lindsay actively communes with God
  • [8:30] Lindsay’s “coming online” moment where she recognized not everyone experienced the world in the same way she does
  • [11:40] the different ways to receive communications from “the other side”
  • [12:47] the importance of cleaning out your personal filter before giving a reading
  • [14:30] an example of when I listened to guidance that did not serve me and why we need to follow our intuition first and foremost when receiving a reading
  • [19:40] the importance of having clear boundaries and detaching yourself from your career in order to enjoy the other aspects of your life
  • [22:19] how not to interact with a Medium
  • [24:50] the afterlife; what is it like, does hell exist and does our grief keep our loved ones from moving on
  • [27:49] do our loved ones who commit suicide find peace
  • [34:52] how our loved ones will choose symbols we recognize to let us know they are with us
  • [36:11] why it’s okay if you are a skeptic of psychic/Medium work
  • [37:29] the three main reasons why people visit Lindsay and participate in her programs
  • [38:00] whether or not we can all be Mediums
  • [41:08] how to show up for your child if they have a psychic or Medium gift
  • [44:37] in a reading is it possible to connect with a person you never met in this life
  • [49:04] the person I most want to connect with now and a practical way Lindsay shares that I can start that communication

Do you love roses? Feel deeply connected to the Divine in nature? Or find symbolism in little things all the time?

Everything around you–from the birds you pass on your morning walk to the numbers on the clock when you wake up in the middle of the night–are symbols, tools for finding meaning in Life. You just have to learn how to look for them.

In today’s episode, I’m chatting with author and mystic Rebecca Campbell about how she finds and connects with symbols in nature, especially flora, in her daily life.

For years, Rebecca has had a deeply personal relationship with roses. She admires them for their duality: a beautiful, soft bloom surrounded by hard thorns. In contemplating the rose, she’s able to connect more deeply with her version of the divine.

And now, she’s released an oracle deck to help others find symbolism and meaning in the natural world. She shows us that every bloom, every leaf, every thorn is a tool for seeing ourselves more clearly.

Join me in today’s episode as I chat with Rebecca about her relationship with roses and how they’ve popped up throughout her spiritual journey. She’s sharing her process for designing her oracle decks, and she’s shedding light on how she maintains a strong marriage while also growing on her own.

Listen to episode 387 now!

In episode 387 of the Embodied Podcast we discuss:

  • [2:59] How I first connected with Rebecca and how our relationship has grown over the years
  • [5:01] How Rebecca communes with God and how her vision of God has shifted over time
  • [8:58] Why it’s important to find ways to talk about the divine even if our words aren’t sufficient
  • [10:18] Rebecca’s Rose Oracle Deck and how she uses nature to commune with the divine
  • [14:21] Connecting with your ancestry and using it in your spiritual practice
  • [21:50] Finding and creating symbolism that’s meaningful and personal to you
  • [25:28] Rebecca’s connection to roses and how they play a part in her practice and work
  • [33:50] How to connect with roses and find meaning and comfort in the nature around you
  • [36:51] Rebecca’s Rose Oracle Deck and how we find meaning in the cards
  • [40:45] Free tools for your spiritual practice
  • [42:42] Reading a few of the Rose Oracle cards and uncovering what they mean to us
  • [44:56] How Rebecca created the oracle deck and shared it with the world
  • [52:19] The duality of the rose and thorn and finding that duality in your own life
  • [54:24] How Rebecca and her husband have grown alongside one another and in their own journeys

What if instead of giving in to fear, resentment and regret, you cultivated faith?

Questions have been coming up recently related to these topics in my community and it got me thinking about how they all relate.

In today’s episode, we’re talking about fear, faith, resentment, and regret.

I’m covering where the fear stems from and how to consciously choose faith even when fear starts to creep in.

I talk about the indicators of resentment and regret and what they often mean about where you’ve spread yourself too thin..

Join me in today’s episode as we discuss how to move past the objections of fear, regret and resentment so you can have breakthroughs and live within your highest, most fulfilling and abundant potential.
