Are you ready to dance with life’s mysteries?

For years, I’ve tried to make my work more palatable to the general public: less intimidating, less mysterious. But recently, I’ve come to realize that there’s no watering down the medicine I’m here to steward. While things like accessing inner wisdom, self love and liberation sound empowering, exciting, and inviting, actually doing them can be really scary. It’s such worthwhile and important work though and in the School of Sacred Embodiment, we’re completely devoted to it.

In today’s episode, I’m officially activating and opening the School of Sacred Embodiment.

This shift is as much a promise to myself as it is to my community: a promise to embrace my soul’s path, devote my life to my relationship with the divine and be a permission slip and guide for anyone wanting to do the same on their own terms.

If you’re a woman with eyes to see, ears to hear, and a soul open to receiving your own medicine and wisdom, I invite you to join us.

Join me in today’s episode as I share why I’m making this shift with the School of Sacred Embodiment and what it means to students. I’m also talking about my own spiritual journey and what has led me to this moment.

Listen to episode 382 now!

In episode 382 of the Embodied Podcast we discuss:

  • [0:10] Activating and officially opening my school, The School of Sacred Embodiment
  • [1:29] How I learned to trust the divine timing of my life
  • [2:50] How I’ve gained my knowledge from my teachers, my guides, and the Akashic Records
  • [4:51] Embracing my deepest power and stepping into my purpose
  • [5:09] Why I’m no longer in pursuit of romantic partnership and instead devoted to my relationship with the divine
  • [6:46] How the pandemic helped me dive deeper into my work and my personal journey
  • [8:31] Making room for my soul in my everyday life
  • [11:19] Why I changed the name to something that feels more aligned
  • [14:21] How we’ll work to heal your soul wounds in the School of Sacred Embodiment
  • [15:57] The signs I’ve been seeing as I align with my soul path
  • [19:22] Embracing lessons from religious teachings without the religious programming
  • [26:43] Your official invitation to the School of Sacred Embodiment

About the EMBODIED Podcast with Elizabeth DiAlto

Since 2013 I’ve been developing a body of work that helps women embody self love, healing and wholeness. We do this by focusing on the four levels of consciousness - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

In practical terms this looks like exploring tools and practices to help you  tune into the deep wisdom of the body and the knowing of the heart, which I believe are gateways to our souls. Then we cultivate a new relationship with our minds that allows the mind to serve this wisdom and knowing and soul connection, rather than override it, which is what many of us were taught.

If you’ve been doing self help or spiritual development work for a while, these are the types of foundational things that often people overlook in pursuit of fancier concepts that often aren’t practical or sustainable. Here, we will focus on building these strong foundations so you can honestly and thoroughly embody self love. If you’re feeling it, subscribe to the show, and leave us a review wherever you listen from. You can also keep up with show updates and community discussion on Instagram here.

Do you know the true source of your healing? It’s not a pill or a vial. It’s not even your coach or your mentor. No, your greatest source of healing comes from within, from your own medicine.

In today’s episode, I’m chatting with indigenous medicine woman Asha Frost about her book You Are The Medicine.

As a medicine woman, Asha guides others through their healing journeys, helping them decolonize their thoughts and understand the signs they receive from the universe.

But a huge part of what she does is guide her clients to see their own power and facilitate their own healing.

Join me in today’s episode as I chat with Asha about becoming your own medicine and connecting with your inner self. She’s talking about the process of decolonization and how to broach the topic with others, especially children and older generations. Plus, she’s sharing the value of connecting with your own ancestors and implementing their teachings in your spiritual journey.

Listen to episode 380 now!

In episode 380 of the Embodied Podcast we discuss:

  • [2:53] Asha’s relationship with Creator and how her indigenous heritage influences her connection to the divine
  • [5:06] Becoming your own medicine and finding your inner power to heal
  • [8:24] What is homeopathy and why so many people resist healing in their own lives
  • [12:38] Animal medicine and connecting with animals in dreams
  • [18:15] Finding balance as you guide your clients and sometimes letting them guide themselves
  • [21:50] Undergoing personal decolonization and why it’s a lifelong process
  • [27:20] How to avoid performative activism, especially on social media
  • [30:59] How to teach children about land acknowledgement and generational trauma

Is accountability enough?

We see it often: Some big-name celebrity, author, or self help star jumps on the bandwagon of a newly relevant social cause, and suddenly they’re being treated as a savior of the people. But when you really pay attention, their motivations become clear, and their actions are often performative at best, harmful at worst.

In today’s episode, I’m chatting with anti-racism and decolonization educator and activist Louiza “Weeze” Doran about the importance of actionability in addition to accountability.

With the rise of “cancel culture,” we’ve witnessed plenty of big names lose their platforms due to lack of accountability. But at the same time, others are celebrated for posting a black square, sharing a “peace and love” quote, or taking a lukewarm stand.

It’s high time we hold the loudest voices in our society accountable for their actions, not just their words. Because as Weeze says in this episode, actionability is the true test of integrity.

Join me in today’s episode as I chat with Weeze about the cultural shifts we’re seeing right now. We’re getting real about the biggest names in the self-help industry (ie Brene Brown) and why they thrive in our white-centric, capitalist society. Plus, we’re talking about the ways you can open yourself up to others’ viewpoints while still protecting your energy and truth.

Listen to episode 379 now!

In episode 379 of the Embodied Podcast we discuss:

  • [3:36] Growing up in a multi-religious family and learning to appreciate different ways of thinking
  • [7:30] Communing with your “divine support squad” and ancestral knowledge
  • [9:55] How we change on our journeys to decolonize and decondition ourselves
  • [13:05] The integrity of actionability and how to see through virtual signaling
  • [27:38] Digging deeper into the messages we accept as truth
  • [33:58] Being able to hold many truths at once instead of falling into the ‘us vs. them’ trap
  • [38:14] Leading with curiosity instead of judgment
  • [46:24] Opening yourself up to other viewpoints while also protecting your energy and your truths
  • [50:44] How to find knowledgeable voices and avoid those that aren’t worth your energy
  • [59:20] Why we should hold the loud voices in our culture accountable and start digging into their motivations

Is prayer part of your daily practice? So many of us grew up with a dogmatic, rigid idea of prayer. We sat through church services, repeating words we didn’t truly understand the meanings of. But over the past ten years, I’ve discovered that prayer is fluid and entirely unique to each and every person who practices it. Others of us grew up with no relationship to prayer at all. And I’m sure some people also had a really beautiful relationship to it.

In today’s episode, I’m sharing my personal journey with prayer and helping you start your own intentional prayer practice or refine however you’ve been practicing.

Growing up Catholic, I developed a deep connection with “God,” Jesus, and  Mother Mary. Now, I incorporate elements of my upbringing in my daily practice and relationship with the divine, but I also don’t let the understanding of my upbringing limit me.

Whether or not you prescribe to a certain religion or consider yourself more “spiritual,’ your prayer practice is a powerful tool in developing your connection with the divine.

Join me in today’s episode as I explain how my prayer practice has grown and evolved over the years. I’m breaking down the different parts of a prayer and also sharing some of my favorites to inspire you if you are open for inspiration..

Listen to episode 378 now!

In episode 378 of the Embodied Podcast we discuss:

  • [1:35] Why we pray and how to set your intentions in prayer
  • [2:57] The three types of prayer I’ve worked with throughout my life
  • [6:23] What “God” means to me and my relationship with the divine mother and father
  • [7:24] Where I pray and how I incorporate it into my daily life
  • [9:02] Some of the people who have inspired me and impacted my prayer practice
  • [12:58] What prayer isn’t and how to disconnect from the sensationalized definition of “spirituality”
  • [17:59] My personal journey with prayer and how my process has changed over the years
  • [18:51] Prayer and organized religion and why they aren’t necessarily inseparable
  • [23:54] Why the law of attraction isn’t real and why you shouldn’t use prayer isn’t instant gratification
  • [27:21] How to integrate traditional prayers into your personal practice
  • [29:35] The elements of prayer that I use in my own practice
  • [40:57] Practicing vulnerability in your prayers and your earthly relationships
  • [43:16] Prayer through journaling and how putting your words on paper can be powerful
  • [44:26] Why we sometimes feel our prayers aren’t being answered and how to practice active listening
  • [50:12] Consistency and repetition in your prayer practice
  • [52:06] Praying for others, even people you’ve never met or don’t yet know
  • [1:01:38] How to close your prayers in a way that resonates with you
  • [1:03:57] One of my favorite prayers for love and light regardless of religion

Are you living according to your truth? Many of us live in our heads, making decisions according to our cultural conditioning and what we feel we “should” do. But when you learn to tap into your body, you can live, work, and exist in alignment with your inner truth.

In today’s episode, I’m chatting with Feminine Embodiment Coach Jenna Ward about her experience with feminine embodiment and magnetism.

As a coach, Jenna helps women get in touch with their feminine energy and practice embodiment in their daily lives. She teaches her students how to open themselves up to new possibilities and live in alignment with their truths.

Two main things that she really focuses on are magnetism and discernment. Through gentle guidance, acceptance, and body awareness she teaches her students how to stay in tune with her body and emotions.

Join me in today’s episode as I chat with Jenna about what it means to be embodied and why we both think society as a whole would benefit from it. Jenna is also sharing her advice for practicing magnetism in your life and work, and she’s opening up about inspiring embodiment in her toddler.

Does pleasure play a role in your divine experience?

It’s not often we hear mainstream conversations about the intersection of spirituality and sensuality. But for me, pleasure, sensuality, and God are inextricably connected.

In today’s episode, I’m chatting with author and founder of Booty Parlor, Dana Myers all about how pleasure and sensuality play into spiritual practice.

Even as a young girl, Dana was lucky enough to recognize the role that pleasure can–and should–play in a woman’s life. Through candid conversations with her mother and her own self-exploration, Dana created the foundation for a lifelong practice in self-love and sensuality.

Now, she guides other women to discover their own sensuality and take ownership of their pleasure through her books and women’s empowerment brand Booty Parlor. Whether she’s creating for Booty Parlor or educating her own children, Dana holds pleasure and embodiment in high regard.

Join me in today’s episode as I chat with Dana all about her journey to discovering her own sensuality and how she advocates for others to do the same.. She’s sharing the role pleasure and sensuality play in her spiritual life, and she also opened up about how she broaches these topics with her young children.

Do you know how to love yourself and others well?

Not the kind of love where you try to fix, change or save people. Not the kind of love where you chase someone who doesn’t love you back. But the kind of love in which you want for others the same thing you want for yourself: whatever God has in store.

In today’s episode, I’m sharing a personal journey with self-love and romantic love, and I’m offering insights on how to let your love flow.

To me, love is divine. It comes from a greater source–be that God, the Universe, or whatever you prefer to call it. When we love ourselves and others, we allow that energy to flow through us.

Only when we love while staying true to ourselves can we experience love in its truest form.

Join me in today’s episode as I share a personal journey with self-love and romantic love, including how I’ve learned to set gentle boundaries and engage in courageous communication with those I care most about.

Listen to episode 375 now!

In episode 375 of the Embodied Podcast we discuss:

  • [1:07] How collective energy affects us even if we don’t prescribe to the popular way of thinking
  • [3:13] How withholding your love hurts you more than it protects you
  • [6:58] Why we disrespect ourselves by chasing those who don’t want to or can’t love us
  • [10:13] How to create boundaries while still letting your love flow
  • [11:56] Understanding codependency and recognizing that it is not love
  • [14:28] Finding healthy examples of romantic love in the people around you
  • [16:32] Why we need to stop trying to fix, change, and save others while neglecting ourselves
  • [20:12] Understanding your deal breakers when it comes to dating and romance

Often what appears in our lives as a crisis is also an invitation to connect more deeply with the Divine and with our own souls.

We all experience different levels of crises in our lives. And while I’ve been blessed with pretty good health for most of my life, I experienced something at the start of 2022 that catalyzed a deeper relationship with my body and shifted my regard for physical health and healing.

In today’s episode, I’m sharing about the experience..

In the days leading up to and just following an emergency surgery, I spent a lot of my time in prayer and reflection. As a long time practitioner of surrender and trust, I handed a lot of what could have been scary or stressful over to the Divine and invoked grace, not just for myself, but for the people around me and especially those who were supporting me.. And perhaps more than anything else, I focused on my body and it’s vast healing capacity.

Join me in today’s episode as I share about my health crisis at the beginning of the year, how it brought me into even deeper relationship with and reverence for my body, and the opportunity it created for me to slow down and reflect.

Listen to episode 374 now!

In episode 374 of the Embodied Podcast we discuss:

  • [1:25] Why I share my own experiences and the power of storytelling
  • [3:18] See ya later, gallbladder! My unexpected health crisis
  • [6:27] Accepting help and listening to my body’s signals
  • [10:00] Experiencing a mystical initiation in the midst of the health crisis
  • [14:25] Why and how I spent three days in prayer during my hospital stay
  • [20:14] My “Divine Support Squad” and how they showed up for me during this experience
  • [25:36] Reflections and thoughts I had immediately after surgery
  • [28:16] How I’m feeling now and how the recovery process is going so far
  • [33:22] A message I received from my departed grandfather when I needed it most
  • [35:15] Deeper layers to seeing my body as a miracle and being grateful for all it does
