Since 2013 I’ve been developing a body of work that helps women embody self love, healing and wholeness. We do this by focusing on the four levels of consciousness - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. In practical terms this looks like exploring tools and practices to help you tune into the deep wisdom of the body and the knowing of the heart, which I believe are gateways to our souls. Then we cultivating a new relationship with our minds that allows the mind to serve this wisdom and knowing and soul connection, rather than override it, which is what many of us were taught. The show runs in seasons now and this season we’re focusing on my EMBODIED Self Love Framework. We’ll be looking at Self Awareness, Self Knowledge, Self Acceptance, Self Trust and Self Respect - with a bonus episode on Boundaries as well. If you’ve been doing self help or spiritual development work for a while, these are the types of foundational things that often people overlook in pursuit of fancier concepts that often aren’t practical or sustainable. Here, we will focus on building these strong foundations so you can honestly and thoroughly embody self love.

Rachael Maddox is not only today's guest, but someone I've recently got to know better and a dear friend of Michael's. That's actually the reason you're getting to enjoy her on the show today - the last time they hung out she gifted him a copy of her book. I happened to get to it before he did and just a few chapters in I was Facebook messaging her to come on and talk specifically about healing from sexual trauma as it's something A LOT of my wild soul women face. I learned a ton and appreciate her loving nature, personal healing journey and fierce desire to serve now from the other side of things.

About Rachael Maddox:

Rachael Maddox is a trauma resolution educator, coach and guide who dedicates her days to helping women who’ve experienced sexual trauma unshame and reclaim their pleasure, power and wholeness. She recently published her first book, Secret Bad Girl, where she tells the story of her own unshaming and reclaiming–of her wildness, her sensuality, her shadows and her light. Emerging now on a fierce mission to help as many women as possible who’ve experienced trauma, Rachael offers one-on-one support, courses, and a mastermind for women who are ready to dance hard with life.
For fun, Rachael writes songs on her ukulele, swims naked as often as possible, and lays quietly under trees.
