Today's interview might be one of the most important (and challenging) topics we've ever covered on the show. It's something every woman deals with in one way or another - healing the mother wound. Our guest Bethany Webster indulged all of my deepest questions and curiosities around what it means to become the mother you've always wanted and how to do that. We discussed how this kind of healing isn't about bashing our own mothers or the maternal figures in our lives, but the personal, collective and spiritual healing every woman faces in her lifetime. We also got into guilt, grief, anger and family systems. We talked about the mother wound as an initiation and pain as a doorway to birthing oneself. Listen closely to this one, maybe more than once and definitely join us in the Facebook group to continue the conversation if it's relevant to you. Big love!

About Bethany Webster:

Bethany Webster is a writer, transformational coach, international speaker and what you could call a midwife of the heart. Her work is focused on helping women heal the "mother wound" so that they can step into their full feminine power and potential. She offers an online course, teaches workshops and a coaching program for women leaders who want to accelerate their impact and leadership. Bethany is the author of the forthcoming book "Healing the Mother Wound: Move Beyond What Your Mother Never Gave You and Become the Woman You're Meant to be." Her website is womboflight.com

In this episode, Bethany shares:

1. Guilt as a side effect of control
2. Healthy outrage and treating the grief that accompanies it as a holy emotion
3. What exactly the mother wound is and the three aspects of it, personal, collective, and spiritual
4. How women have harmed each other

I lloovvveeed this conversation and have a feeling you will too. Today's guest Abiola Abrams, is absolutely magnetic and generous. We ran the gamut in this one on all kinds of sensitive topics from "color blindness" and political correctness to spirituality, rage, activism, and staying informed during these interesting times we live in. We talked about keeping an open mind, abundance, African goddesses, culture, and more. Her breadth of knowledge and experiences was super valuable and she offered both perspectives we've explored before on the show and some that we haven't. This is a GREAT one to share with friends to help open up conversations that are not easy to have, but unavoidable anyway. Enjoy!

Today on the show my dear friend Kate Northrup returns to have a super deep and interesting conversation about doing less, the BEST WAY for women to create some predictability in their lives in a fairly hectic world, allowing the Universe to help you with your to do list (this is more practical than it sounds!), and something we can't seem to get away from lately on the show - navigating transitions! Kate described that in between space as "the fertile void." How much better does that feel than, "I don't know what the hell I'm supposed to do yet!"? One of my favorite things about Kate that we really have in common is the way she blends the woo woo with real mother-freaking life. This is one is packed with super useful insights, enjoy!

About Kate Northrup:

As an entrepreneur, bestselling author, mother, and activist, Kate Northrup supports ambitious, motivated and successful women to light up the world without burning themselves out in the process. Committed to empowering women entrepreneurs to create their most successful businesses while navigating motherhood, Kate is the founder and CEO of Origin Collective, a monthly membership site where women all over the world gather to achieve more while doing less. Her first book, Money: A Love Story, has been published in 5 languages. Kate’s work has been featured by The Today Show, Yahoo!
