A few weeks back I asked on IG stories what I should jam on this month in the solo episode and a surprising number of the questions were about business, so I decided to do a biz chat.

The timing is also good as Summer is upon us and I’m doing the business immersion that I did last summer again. I resisted doing business coaching or mentoring for many years, because a) I find A LOT of business coaches to be pretty douchey and b) I’ve had really up and down experiences with them myself over the years, so it felt like a huge responsibility I didn’t necessarily want to take on.

When enough people ask you for something though you begin to listen and accept that perhaps you have something of value to offer, and I realized my value lies in helping folks find what works for them, that can be aligned and sustainable.

There are also some qualities of shared worldview, integrity and ethics my business clients tend to have: humanity and the collective > profits. But money does matter.

Just not in an ego-y way, in a generous way.

The more we have the more we can share and contribute.

The soul desires to express. How can we optimize that and fulfill our potential?

How can we live like my favorite Erma Bombeck quote?

"When I stand before God at the end of my life I would hope I have no talent left and can say, 'I used everything you gave me.'"

When you’re here to do what you’re here to do, it’s ok to stretch yourself, in my experience you’ll feel stretched and uncomfortable a lot, you’ll just get good at navigating it.

This episode is about all of that and more.

Listen more than once.

Share it with your business besties or biggest supporters.

Have some conversations about it, and if you feel compelled, apply for my Summer Immersion here: http://wildsoulmovement.com/biz2019

You all know how much I geek out on conversations about trauma and how we can move through things in ways that are accessible to us AND honor where we are in life. Today's conversation with Rocio Navarro hits on ALL OF THAT!

Her big truth was about the nuances in how "surrender" is used in our culture.

From there we talked about stepping into the unknown and being open to possibilities and how beautiful hard and everything in between life can be.

Rocio shared how she uses and engages with water as a healing element. She shared how water has been her teacher and a path that reveals as so much of life is encapsulated in different densities of water.

We talked about the relationship between hypervigilance, strength and resilience, dance as medicine and a trauma healing tool, AND we even touched on working with dreams.

This was a really reach, deep and layered conversation about different ways we heal - I hope you'll listen more than once, let me know what lands for you and share it with anyone you can think of who can use it!

I've been connecting with today's guest, Jeanette LeBlanc online for years and it was beyond a pleasure to finally get to drop in with her for an interview. If you visit her website, jeanetteleblanc.com, what she does is clear as day. It says, "I help people find their words (and use them really well)."

And you know how much I love putting words to good use!!

So here's what we got into...

Jeanette's big truth was about dismantling the myth that we heal in isolation, which led us into a conversation about cycles of healing and how repeating lessons isn't necessarily negative.

She shared the origin story of how she's evolved and iterated from being a good girl, preacher's daughter with a science degree to a mommy blogger, birth doula, photographer and the rebellious writer and guide that she is now.

And of course we talked about our stories: the difference between the stories we tell, finding the truths in our stories, how our stories connect and heal us, and how the creative process of storytelling doesn't have to be a big thing that requires a microphone, platform or even an audience.

Enjoy this one and share it up - stories and words are universal things we all have access to, there's a lot of power to be mined here.

Big love,

E

Today's guest, Zuyapa Jackson, is one of my dearest friends. This was the kind of conversation that originally inspired me to start this podcast four years ago, just chatting with a friend about things we care about deeply, like healing, spirituality, and truth--then thinking, "Damn! I bet other people would love to be flies on the wall for this!" So I hope you feel that way as you listen :)

Zuyapa's big truth was around deeply trusting herself. We also talked about how fine is never good enough and made some really great distinctions between surviving, living and thriving. We talked about how we're always cycling through the three and how we aren't meant to be static or dormant in any of them.

We got into what it's like to be a "knower", how we have to go deep into the dark places in order to heal, one main reason being to resolve our shame.

Zuyapa shared why she thinks we're constipated as a society and how we're not "digesting" everything that goes on in our lives, how important it is to have places to turn to be truthful, and why we have to purify our physical and energetic bodies to come back out ourselves.

She also left us with a beautiful invitation to pray - and shared how to use it as a way to commune with not only the divine, but yourself as well.

This was a really beautiful conversation. I could barely stop smiling throughout all of it - I hope you love it too, listen many times and share it with anyone you think would appreciate it.
