We are getting into the last part of the EMBODIED Self Love Framework in this episode - Self Respect.

Self respect is where the other four parts of the EMBODIED Self Love Framework get integrated.

When you are more self aware you discover what you need to know, when you know yourself better,  you can accept yourself more, when you are coming from self awareness, knowledge and acceptance, it's easier to trust yourself and when you're doing all four, self respect just makes sense.

I have been teaching about self trust for over seven years now and for this episode, the self trust teaching wanted to come through a bit differently. No doubt, the reason is that trust is harder when tragedy and trauma are rampant because we get pulled into the WHY question? It doesn’t make sense. And it’s not supposed to. 

And during these current times we're living through there's a lot of that.

So we question a lot of valid things but can get overly distracted by them. This is why we need to ‘"insource” more than we "outsource" and strengthen our direct connection to the Divine (God, Source, Universe, etc) --and that is the part of the teaching I had to integrate more deeply into today's exploration of self trust

The only intermediary we need is our soul.

  • How we build trust within ourselves similarly to how we build trust with others.
  • Why we need self trust if we hope to have self love
  • The difference between judgment and discernment
  • How to know which part of yourself to trust, and how to practice self trust when you feel conflicted
  • Big questions people face around self trust like - how to know the difference between fear and intuition, how to know when it's our ego talking, or our trauma or wounds
  • Some universal truths you can choose to place faith in if you want that will help cultivate trust more easily

Why is self acceptance important?

What does it feel like to have self acceptance?

How well do you really know yourself?

And why does self knowledge matter so much?

In order to do any of the work of EMBODIED self love, you really do need to know yourself.

You need to know things [for starters] like:

  • What’s ok with you and what’s not ok with you? 
  • What excites you what doesn’t? 

Life is cyclical. There are phases and changes, which means you should feel free to be someone different than you were yesterday. I always say, "I reserve the right to change my mind." And I can tell you from living that way it won’t always please others. But staying true to who you are moment to moment is a radical act of self love. 

Real, deep,EMBODIED self love requires ACTIONS behaviors, habits and STANDARDS! 

Self knowledge is the place where we tune into all of that.

  • "The Power of the Pause" - which is a super helpful reflection technique to learn about yourself and increase your self knowledge in your day to day experiences
  • Aspects of the self and multidimensionality
