Embodied with Elizabeth DiAlto

Since 2013 I’ve been developing a body of work that helps women embody self love, healing and wholeness. We do this by focusing on the four levels of consciousness - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. In practical terms this looks like exploring tools and practices to help you tune into the deep wisdom of the body and the knowing of the heart, which I believe are gateways to our souls. Then we cultivating a new relationship with our minds that allows the mind to serve this wisdom and knowing and soul connection, rather than override it, which is what many of us were taught. The show runs in seasons now and this season we’re focusing on my EMBODIED Self Love Framework. We’ll be looking at Self Awareness, Self Knowledge, Self Acceptance, Self Trust and Self Respect - with a bonus episode on Boundaries as well. If you’ve been doing self help or spiritual development work for a while, these are the types of foundational things that often people overlook in pursuit of fancier concepts that often aren’t practical or sustainable. Here, we will focus on building these strong foundations so you can honestly and thoroughly embody self love.

Patricia Moreno has been training, mentoring and educating people all over the world for over 30 years. In an effort to end her own struggle with her weight, eating disorders and body image issues, she created The intenSati Method, a life transforming workout which combines her expertise in fitness, dance, martial arts, yoga, nutrition, meditation and spiritual practices.

I remember a few years ago today's guest spoke at a friends' event and hearing some of the people I trust most to be discerning about spiritual mentors absolutely rave about her. Like they couldn't get over how deep and powerful what she shared was for them. I'm happy to report I felt it to by the end of this interview with Patricia Moreno as well. This is one of those kitchen sink conversations where we covered so many things and somehow it all gelled together beautifully. We covered parenting as a spiritual practice, and what to do when the parents don't necessarily agree on everything (and we even got a special visit from her daughters at the end as they got home from school!!). We talked about the problem with a dieting mindset and how to make positive sustainable change, living in the life's questions, transforming your concept of self, and my favorite part - she shared the origin story of her life transforming workout the intenSati Method. Enjoy the interview, I can't wait to hear which part you love most!

About Patricia Moreno:

Patricia Moreno has been training, mentoring and educating people all over the world for over 30 years. In an effort to end her own struggle with her weight, eating disorders and body image issues, she created The intenSati Method, a life transforming workout which combines her expertise in fitness, dance, martial arts, yoga, nutrition, meditation and spiritual practices. Encouraged by her own transformation, and the life changing stories of her students, Patricia has gone on to create several other workouts, courses, and workshops including yogaSati, warriorSati, coreSati, danceSati and the intenSati Leadership Training. She is committed to being a powerful force for positive change in the world, and continues to find revolutionary ways to uplift her students and help them to change, inside and out. Patricia believes that through conscious, intentional living, a commitment to excellence and the power of love, every person is able to live a life filled with peace, happiness and joy.

In this episode, Patricia shares:

1. How to have a mind that follows your will (not the other way around!)
2. How to change your state before you change your behavior
3. Harnessing the power of your brain as an answer seeking machine
