Going into 2017 I knew it was going to be a year focused on healing.

I didn’t know it was going to be a year of embracing my mystical nature.

I’d been intrigued by the idea of mysticism for the last few years. Had even picked up a book called The Essential Mystics, Poets, Saints and Sages: A Wisdom Treasury on a road trip in Ashland Oregon the Summer of 2015. But for some reason I was waiting to dive in. Last year I finally took the plunge.

Today's episode explores some of that exploration. Enjoy!

Jan 22, 2018

Today's episode probably isn't as big of a deal as it feels like to me. Or maybe it is. I don't know. What I do know and have known for a while is that change was called for, so I surrendered. I'd been feeling the momentum of inevitability behind me for the last five or so months, like a force of miraculous grace. I took my time, listened, and applied deeper trust than I've had to on any decision in my career to date.

It's been the kind of transition where you question your sanity, because you're about to throw a wrench in something that works really well. I don't really know what to expect, but I know what I sense in my bones is coming and I've got to believe I'm ready for it, or it wouldn't be happening now.

I officially decided to change the name of the show in the beginning of December. Because I'd recorded several episodes with the old name, I had to wait until today, 1/22 to make the announcement. And of course, because divine timing is always happening, it worked out that I got the extra little boost of faith I needed when Oprah blessed us with this sentence at the 2018 Golden Globes, "What I know for sure is that speaking your truth is the most powerful tool we all have."

So, welcome to the new evolution of the podcast - Truth Telling with Elizabeth DiAlto. Have a listen to the episode to ring it in, and to hear a bit more about why, what this means for the show moving forward, and some other creations in the works for 2018. To our listeners, guests, and my team and teachers, I love you. Thank you so much. This is the epitome of co-creation, as not a single moment of the show would be possible without tremendous collaborative effort. <3

When I sat down to record this it was the Sunday night the week before it goes live. I realized as I began that it was the final episode under the original name of the podcast - Untame the Wild Soul. So I thought it would be apropos to dedicate the episode to one way of knowing when it’s time to move on from something. Even when the something is really good, excellent even.

And in fact how sometimes because something is excellent is exactly why we have to move on from it. Enjoy and be sure to tune into the next episode to learn the new name of the show! xo, E

Today's episode goes really deep and gets really esoteric in some parts, (which I love, but I know is not for everyone!). As always, I'm never looking to convince or convert anyone to any belief system, so listen to this one with an open mind and enjoy what resonates for you or piques your curiosity.

Our guest, Jill Prescott and I got into the correlation between keeping secrets and oppression, how the Law of Attraction can create shame and pain rather than abundance and why that is, and how language can create violence or healing. We also talked about the distinctions between awareness, consciousness, emotional intelligence and knowledge and even had time to touch on ascension. It's so juicy, I can't wait to hear what comes up for you. Enjoy!

About Jill Prescott:

Jill Prescott is a Spiritual BadAss. She has both feet planted firmly on this earth and in this life while remaining connected to Source Energy through the practices of meditation and intuition. She believes we are all creators, capable of moving through this life with grace and Love, and that our painful experiences can be our greatest gifts when you do the work.

She is an international speaker and facilitator, published author, and intuitive oracle. As a true Leo Fire Sign, she seeks many outlets for her gifts and finds much joy in offering guidance in a multitude of ways.

Jill has gone through the fire, willingly and otherwise, many time in her years so far this lifetime. This has brought her to a place of deep regard for the sacredness of the spiritual path and infuses this reverence into all she does. On her own, and with her partner Chris Dube, she regularly instigates conversations via video and the written word on topics related to navigating this life as a soul in human form.

Jill believes that each of us is powerful and deeply loved. She is here to bear witness to your personal evolution.

In this episode, Jill shares:

1. Knowing everything is temporary but the soul is permanent
2. Language as a tool for expression that creates how we occur in the world
3. Connecting to our humanity through compassion for others

Our topic today has to do with that last sentence of the intro to these Sunday sermons, about remembering that you are made from love, you are love, and you are loved. I get a lot of notes from people telling me how much they love hearing that every week, that they need the reminder, that the truth of this feels so nourishing, that even when the head wants to object, the heart knows it’s the truth.

So I was thinking about this the other morning at the time of this recording and I had a little epiphany about choosing love over fear. This is something you may have heard before, in some context or another, to choose love over fear. It’s a fairly common cornerstone of lots of ancient teachings, wisdom traditions, and faiths. And while it sounds so beautiful, and like it should totally work, just choose love over fear…right….got it.

It’s much easier to say than do. Listen in for my thoughts on how to actually do this in a way that works for us and honors who we each are, and how we're each designed.

Today's guest, Mary Shores is a fan of the show so it was super fun to dive in with her around her favorite episode (Michaela Boehm way back in the first 25 episodes!) before getting into what she does. We explored how important it is to always know your outcomes, why positivity is not "everything," steps to breaking through during breakdowns, and eliminating procrastination. Over Christmas time I was home with my family on the east coast and we got really excited to go see the new Mary Poppins movie coming out on Christmas Day. When I was little Mary Poppins was my absolute favorite movie. For four days we were looking forward to it. When we went to look up movie times on December 26, we realized that it wasn’t coming out until Christmas Day 2018!!

With Mary Poppins on my brain, I wanted to do a fun Sunday Sermon on some of my favorite lessons from the movie. I had three in mind, and when I went searching for the exact quotes to support them, an unexpected fourth popped up, too. Enjoy and share! xo
